One of my best friends came to visit me this weekend. Her name is Monic and she is such a beautiful person, inside and out.
We did so much in one weekend! Went to multiple amazing restaurants. Watched some live local bands. Drove to Mount Vernon to enjoy the beautiful Tulip Festival. Had a little mini photo session. Went to watch Dreamgirls at the Paramount Theatre. Bought fresh fruits and veggies from Pike’s Place Market and made a yummy dinner before I had to take her back to the airport.
All in one little weekend.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE.

I’m finally back from my little road trip with some friends and I feel so behind! It’s really time to get organized and start getting my butt into gear. So I apologize for my lack of posting! I’m writing this post for me more than anyone, so that I can look back at this time in my life and remember the feeling I’ve been having lately. The feeling of not being secure, the feeling of self-doubt, and the feeling of questioning everything I do. When unexpected things happen, it’s easy to get caught up in feeling hopeless. I always have hope and faith that God will protect me and help me through this hard season, but it is still so difficult to get my mind right. I’ve had a lot of great conversations with friends and family about my feelings and I honestly can’t express how thankful I am for these relationships. I am so blessed to have these people in my life to remind me that God knows my heart inside and out and that He WILL help me through this.

All I can do is pray for today…

One thing that I am excited for is all the personal projects that I have been planning these past couple of weeks. I’m excited to collaborate with great people and bounce ideas off one another. That is one thing I do miss about school…is being surrounded by people who GET me. People who never look at me like I’m crazy and people who constantly pushed me to be better. I’m excited to get that creative muscle working again and create some work that speaks from my heart.

Another thing I am excited for is that I will be going to visit my grandma in Hawaii hopefully within the next couple of months. This lady inspires me like no other…probably because I know I’ll be just like her when I’m older. She is the most stubborn person I know, but she is also one of the strongest, loving little old ladies around. I wish she didn’t live so far away, but I wont complain that I have to go visit her in HAWAII! hee hee.

I’m a little late with posting this senior session, but better late than never…right? RIGHT!

I had only done a couple senior portrait sessions at this point and still wasn’t sure if it was “my thing”. I’m still not claiming that this is “my thing”, but I definitely enjoyed this session! And I love photographing seniors because they all have their different styles and little quirks that make them each so unique. It’s their day to express themselves and I love capturing it!

Geoffrey, his girlfriend, and his mom drove all the way to Seattle from Selah for this Senior Session and I’m SO HAPPY the did because I ended up loving a lot of these photos! And the weather couldn’t have been any better. I also had the pleasure of taking their family portraits during Seattle’s prettiest time…fall. I should really post that session some time hee hee. Thank you Geoffrey for being so awesome! Enjoy the rest of your senior year, it goes by fast!

DEE & GUY / MARRIED

Every time I look at these pictures, they simply melt my heart. Dee and Guy are seriously one of the sweetest, most loving couples I’ve ever met. Their love story is so unique and special. They have actually known each other since they were little kids and once they reunited, it was magic. Their wedding day was so laid-back and relaxing…such a breath of fresh air! The ceremony was surrounded by their family and closest loved ones and was such an intimate ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the building…including me! Kelsey and I had so much fun photographing this wedding and we pray for nothing but the best for this amazing couple.
