This is the first year in a long time…maybe ever actually…that I have missed Father’s Day! There are just some things you have to give up being a photographer and as sad as it makes me, I’m still very grateful for this business. And I must say this first before I go on with this post (because I know my mother is reading this…HI MOM!) that I meant to do a Mother’s Day post about my beautiful mother, but I have no clue what happened. Sorry mom…you know I love you! Hee hee.
Where to even begin with my father…
My dad and I have been through a lot…we have definitely had our hard times, especially when I was a rebel child, but I can’t thank my dad enough now for being so hard on me. I totally deserved it haha. Sorry dad! We now have an awesome relationship and I am so grateful for everything he did and still does for our family. Both my parents are such hard workers and I’m so glad they taught us kids to be the same way. I feel so blessed to have the family that I have, we are all so very different but we just work. Ya know?
Dad, thank you for always pushing me to be better.
Thank you for always supporting me.
Thank you for being at every single game for every sport I ever played in high school. You were my #1 fan!
Thank you for passing on skin that tans and doesn’t burn like my mother.
Thank you for passing on the typical Japanese stubbornness in me. (not!)
Thank you for always fixing my car and filling it up with gas every time I come home to visit.
Thank you for teaching me to be the best fisher-woman…EVER. (I always catch the biggest fish.)
Thank you for all the hard work you do for our family.
Thank you for all the scratch tickets and Slurpees you would always bring home after work!
Thank you for all the nice warm fires you would always build for me.
And thank you for being the best father a daughter could ever ask for. I am so blessed to have you in my life.
Happy Father’s Day….I love you.

One of my favorites of my parents.
