FEATURED ARTIST FRIDAY / OSIRIS

I’ve been brainstorming lately about ideas for my blog. I knew I wanted something new that would add a little something “extra” to my blog. As I crossed ideas off my list, there was one idea I was just so excited about! And it all comes from the love of Art that I’ve had in me since I was cut out of my mama’s belly…(sorry mom! oops.) For as long as I can remember, I always had to be doing something artsy-fartsy. For instance, when I was in kindergarden, I took coloring “in the lines” to a whole ‘nother level…I didn’t mess around! So back to the point…I wanted to have something on my blog that features all kinds of different artists. From photographers to painters, stylists to dancers…I want to feature them all. I want this blog to not only feature my photography, but I want it be a place where people can come for a little dose of inspiration. Now I know all 5-10 of you out there that read my blog are thinking, “what is so special about being featured on your blog!?” Well the truth is…nothing. But these artists are the very reason why I continue to live out my own dream. They inspire me. They inspire others. And I want to give recognition to those who truly live out their passion. I believe we all should…right!?! RIGHT.

Well after all that brainstorming…BAM!… “FEATURED ARTIST FRIDAY” was born. Some of the artists that I will feature may be people I’ve never spoken to, some may be friends, and some may just be awesome people that I’ve had the honor of working with. So with that being said, I would like to introduce an amazing, talented, young woman who blows me away. Osiris Navarro is a stylist here in Seattle and this girl knows her stuff. She probably knows what is going to hit runways before it even hits runways. Yep. That good. I had the pleasure of working with Osiris on a creative shoot that was just for fun (love those).
