Everything is perfect.

That is what it was like when I first met Jillian and Steven for their engagement session. We had so much fun and they are always a reminder as to why I love my job so much. The connection and love between these two is amazing. The majority of their relationship has been spent apart in two different states from one another. So when it came time for their wedding, the butterflies, the giggles, and all the kisses were at an all time high. Their wedding day was simply beautiful…what better way to bring in the New Year than to celebrate it with two beautiful people in love surrounded by their closest friends and family? To be honest, it was probably one of my favorite New Years celebrations ever…yup, it was that good. (Be sure to check out their fun photo-booth at the end of this post!)

Jillian and Steven, I love you both dearly and I am so thankful that you chose me to document your wedding day. I am so excited to see what the future has for you two! Thank you for making me feel like family. And another HUGE thank you to my girl Carly, who gave up her New Years away from her hubby to come shoot this wedding with me!  After we got some fun shots of Brian & Kayla, the rest of the gang decided to wake up early and meet us out on the beach just to have some fun. Kayla’s two bridesmaids and their boyfriends were up for some photos too and I’m so glad they were…we had so much fun being the only ones on the beach!

I honestly think this is the way to do it. Make a weekend or even a week out of your wedding…let the celebration last more than one day. Doesn’t that sound lovely? I’m definitely going to take this idea and apply it to my own wedding someday. Kayla and Brian did everything right in my opinion…

They chose all their closest friends and family members.
Told them a location and date…basically said “be there and bring your swimsuit.”
Packed up a few details, along with a wedding dress and some sandals and called it good.

And oh my was it GOOOOD.
Everything about Kayla and Brian’s wedding was completely awesome and simple. And I loved that.
Being able to travel to Mexico to document their wedding at Cancun Palace was a dream come true, I could not be more thankful for the opportunity. And not only did I get to document their love for one another, I got to gain two more amazing friends. We all just clicked…and that was that.

Kayla, Brian and family/friends…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making me feel like part of the gang. Let’s all have a reunion in Mexico someday, sound good? Love you all.
