Meet Stephanie Reeder.
Stephanie and I hit it off immediately! Like I said in her Sneak Peek post, once she pulled that antique chair out of her trunk, I was smitten. : )
Stephanie is not only a fun, stylish lady, she is also an awesome photographer in the Olympia area. I was so happy when she contacted me to take some updated photos for her to use for her website/blog/business! I can’t wait to see how she uses them.

Thank you Stephanie for traveling up here for your shoot! I had so much fun and so glad to have made a new friend.

SNEAK PEEK / MANU & DANIEL

I wanted to share a few images from a shoot I recently had with my friend Manu, her husband Daniel, and their little girl that will be here soon…Clara.
Manu and I went to school together at the Art Institute and she was one of my only friends haha. We connected with ease and I fell in love with her kind spirit. It had been almost two years since we had last spoken, and then I received an email from Manu. I could sense her excitement just from reading the email…that they would soon be welcoming a little girl into this world. Words cannot express what this shoot meant to me. Witnessing two people so in love and so excited for the next chapter in their lives to begin, it was beautiful. I’ll stop here and let you all enjoy a few of my favorites. I’ll write more about this beautiful couple on their full post.

As my wedding season has started to slow down a little bit, I have found myself excited to do some shoots for myself. Just for fun.

Whew…what a week this has been! I’m finally getting a little caught up and have still had some time do some really fun things in the sun! Seattle has been giving us some gorgeous weather so a friend of mine and I decided to try out stand-up paddle boarding yesterday! It was soooo much fun and such a great work out too. I’m definitely feelin’ the pain this morning : ) I hope everyone is taking a little break to enjoy this beautiful weather.

I’m so excited to finally share this little session I did with a cute, spunky little girl named, Justice.
Justice kind of reminds me of myself when I was a little girl…full of energy and definitely on our own agenda! She would crack me up…in the middle of shooting she would literally get up and walk away saying, “Okay, I’m done with this now.” haha it was really cute actually. Her parents were super laid-back and wonderful and let me and Justice hang out by ourselves for a bit. Thats when the magic started happening, I had this little girl cracking up over the smallest things…(because clearly I’m hilarious right!…Right?!). It made me miss being a little kid and finding joy in the simple things. But thanks to Justice, she reminded me of something great…

That we all need to take a little time to enjoy the simple things in life.

So my friends, be sure to take some time today to stop and listen the sounds around you. Sit in silence and feel yourself breathe…

Haha this was the best. After Justice changed into her tutu she was dancin’ around and checking herself out in the mirror. So cute.

Okay, another hilarious story. I asked Justice, “So what does this flower smell like?” and she simply looks at me and says, “Like marshmallows of course!” Haha kids actually do say the darndest things. : )
