Today is THE day that my beautiful sister gets married and I gain a brother-in-law.

Today I get to attend a wedding as a guest, well more than a guest…a maid-of-honor and not as a photographer.

This post is for my sister. So someday we can look back at this blog post and smile. So we can relive all the emotions that we are feeling right now. I can’t wait to watch my sister get ready for her big day and to finally watch her walk down that isle with my dad. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. A good cry though. So much work has been done for this day to perfect, and no matter what goes wrong…this day WILL be perfect.

Sister, I love you so much. I am so proud of the woman you have become and the sister you have always been to me. Words can’t express how much you mean to me and how thrilled I am for you to start this new chapter in your life. Enjoy every moment of this day and take it all in.

Well I have a problem. I am very much so addicted to Pinterest. As you will see below…Pinterest basically threw up all over my blog. And I’m okay with that.

This week has been pure madness. My one and only sister is getting married, yep that’s right, MARRIED this weekend and I could not be more excited for this day to be here. There is SO much planning that goes into a wedding…like a ridiculous amount. Being able to watch my sister go through the process of planning her own wedding has taught me so much about my own business which I’m really grateful for. I also have to give major props to all the MOH’s out there (maid of honor)!!! Holy moly. Being the MOH for my sisters wedding is a complete honor and it has been so much fun! A lot of work, but fun nonetheless. When she told me that it was my job to plan the Bridal Shower all I wanted to do is hide under the covers. The pressure of planning a party for some of the people who are most important to my sister was not an easy task.

So where did I turn? Uhh hello…Pinterest. Duh.
I owe the success of this Bridal party to Pinterest and to all the wonderful bridesmaids who helped me out SO much. And of course to the wonderful mothers of the bride and groom…Thank you x100. Seeing the joy on my sisters face when she saw the way we transformed her house was priceless. The day could not have been more perfect.

This project was so much fun to work on. I have a weird obsession with antlers, I think they are absolutely beautiful. So when I got my hands on these bad boys I immediately had a vision for what type of shoot I wanted to do. My wonderful model Ari from SMG was freakishly perfect for this project…I can’t imagine anyone else doing it so perfectly. Everything fell into place and the final product was more than anything I could have asked for. I am so proud of this body of work…it is some of my favorite work to date.

I feel like it went by in a blink of an eye. No fair…
Well today is the day. The day where I turn another year older.

This past year has been a roller-coaster. I feel like I’ve grown so much and discovered so many new things about myself. I went through some really low times, but also experience the most joy. I’ve learned a lot from my mistakes and learned even more from my accomplishments. I’ve made many new friends, ones that I love and cherish to death. I’ve made new goals for this next year…and I think a lot of change is going to come for me. I’ve learned to slow down…it’s not easy, but I’m trying to get better every day.

I’m so excited for what this next year has in store for me. Lots of changes in both my business and my personal life are about to take place and I could not be more excited!!! Hopefully you’ll all stick around to find out and ride this roller-coaster with me

Vegas was a blast. I got to see old friends and meet lots of new ones…

I had the opportunity to head out to the desert with a group of some awesome friends/photographers just to play around in the sweet desert light. I am so so so glad we did, it was so much fun! I can’t wait to show some more from this shoot.
